Being Green is Gettin’ Easier Everyday
Posted by Brian in Architecture on July 23rd, 2009
A partnership based on Green ideals and an attempt to bring about global change is the inspiration for a Dallas duo’s latest Green home. The Green Labron project is the greenest home in Dallas and one of the first projects to receive Platinum LEED Certification. Every aspect of the construction project was conceived in the greenest manner following all LEED standards and specifications. The entire project was live-blogged and documented for the rest of the world to watch and follow the process of building a green home. From the deconstruction of the original home on the property to the home completion, the Green Labron project has documented every step of building and thinking green!

Wall Decal Decision Time

Are you looking for a wall decal but not sure how to choose the perfect design? It can be difficult to choose a wall decal today as the choices are plenty and we only have so many surfaces to cover. I recommend that you consider four items if you are struggling to make a decision:
1) Area
2) Utility
3) Design
4) Color
What area are you planning to fill?
Is the space square, tall and rectangular or long and wide? Are you looking for a wall decal to sit above furniture, like a couch or table, or will your decal fill an entire wall? This will help you choose the size or configuration of the decal. For example, if you plan to fill an entire wall, perhaps you will choose a decal that comes in many pieces, like the Pebbles, or My Way (pictured right) designs that can be applied in an infinite number of designs. If you have a smaller space to dress, above your couch for instance, you may choose a more simple design like the New York City Skyline or The Roses. A tall narrow space may call for a larger wall decal like The Gentleman or Electric Wire. The idea here is to first plan out the space you want to fill and the amount of coverage you are looking for.
